Ingredients in Spike Energy Drink
Spike contains 15 calories, zero grams of carbs, zero fats, zero proteins, and 150mg of sodium. Spike is entirely transparent in the quantities of the ingredients.
It’s always best to know what you’re consuming. In contrast to most competitors with a wide range of vitamins and ingredients, Spike Energy Drinks only has four main components.
I’ll go over each of them in detail below.
1000 mcg of Vitamin B12 (41670% DV)
Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that keeps your blood and nerve cells healthy and helps to create DNA. It’s found in energy drinks because it may reduce fatigue.
Vitamin B-12 plays a role in metabolism, allowing carbs, proteins, and fats to convert into energy.
350 mg of Caffeine
Caffeine is a natural stimulant primarily found in coffee, tea, and cacao. There isn’t specified which caffeine is used in 3D Energy Drinks.
Caffeine provides energy, alertness, focus, etc.
800 mg of Beta-Alanine
Beta-alanine is a non-essential amino acid that’s naturally produced in our bodies. It helps with muscle fatigue, so you can do more reps and sets while working out. Over time this will result in more muscle growth.
It’s also the cause of that itchy or tingling feeling all over your body.
800 mg is a low dose and likely not enough to experience the feeling of bugs crawling under your skin.
1,500 mg of N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, or NALT, is a better-absorbed form of regular L-Tyrosine.
It’s a non-essential amino acid that can increase happiness, manage stress, improve memory, and helps the body build proteins. It also helps produce thyroid hormones, melatonin (skin and hair pigment), and enzymes.
It helps produce neurotransmitters like epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. In simple words, this influences mood and allows nerve cells to communicate. Both of which are great for working out.
It may improve metabolism, but no specific studies prove this.
1,500 mg is above the recommended amount of 700-1,000 mg.
Flavors of Spike Energy Drink
Spike Energy Drink comes in the three following flavors:
- Blue Raz
- Strawberry Lemonade
- The Original
My favorite is strawberry lemonade, but I like to alternate now and then. All three flavors are tasty, but that comes down to personal preference.
Experiences with Spike Energy Drink
The experiences with Spike are excellent, except if you have a sky-high caffeine tolerance.
Many people love the enormous amount of caffeine with other fatigue-reducing ingredients, which spikes their energy for a long time.
They don’t experience any “crash” or “jitters,” typical issues with caffeinated drinks. Some people prefer Spike over anything else if they need a REAL energy boost.
It seems great for powering through a busy day, increasing productivity, and as a convenient power-up before a workout. The flavors of Spike are well-loved.
A few criticize Spike doesn’t give them energy, which is remarkable, looking at the ingredients. Their caffeine tolerance must be exceptional, and it may be best to back off caffeine for a couple of weeks to reset.
Spike Energy Drink gets 4,5 out of 5 stars on Amazon.
Price of Spike Energy Drink
Spike Energy Drink is priced at $27.99 for a 12-pack of 16 oz cans on Amazon. This makes the cost per can $2.33.
Most energy drinks I’ve reviewed (a lot) are priced between $2.00-$2.50 per can, so Spike falls right in between that range.

Is Spike Energy Drink Worth It?
Power You Up with High-Performance Sugar-Free Energy – Spike
Spike Hardcore Energy Drinks lives up to most of the promises made by Spike.
You get a tasty, sugar-free energy drink that even most stim-junkies (this is me) would describe as a real power-up.
Hardcore energy combines with improved mental focus, perfect for being more productive or as a convenient drink before the gym.
Thanks to the outrageous amount of vitamin B12 and NALT, there’s no “crash” from the high amount of caffeine. To top it off, Spike energy drinks are also tasty to drink.
I wouldn’t say I like their claim that the 800 mg Beta-Alanine will tremendously increase strength, training volume, performance, and oxygen. The dose is too small, requiring more like 4,000-6,000 mg daily for full effects.
If you’re looking for a simple, no-cookie-cutter energy drink that contains MUCH energy, I recommend giving Spike Hardcore Energy Drinks a shot.
